President John Mahama to Express Gratitude in Upper East Region Visit
President John Mahama is set to visit the Upper East Region on Thursday, 20th March 2025, in a post-election “gratitude tour” aimed at thanking chiefs, community leaders, and residents for their overwhelming support during the 2024 general elections.
The President’s visit underscores his appreciation for the region’s decisive votes, which contributed to his re-election victory and the success of his party’s parliamentary candidates across all constituencies.
During the one-day visit, President Mahama will engage with the chiefs and people of the region at the Jubilee Park in Bolga, where he is expected to highlight the region’s pivotal role in securing both his presidency and a parliamentary majority.
The President will also use the occasion to reiterate his administration’s commitment to delivering on key campaign pledges, particularly in areas such as infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and job creation.
Additionally, the visit will serve as an appeal for sustained unity and support as his government navigates its second term.
