The out-going Regional Coordinating Director (RCD) for the Upper East, Alhaji Mahamadu Assibi Azonko, on Thursday, expressed gratitude to staff of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) and wished them well as he heads to the Oti Region.
At a brief ceremony to officially handover the Administration of the RCC to Alhaji Abubakari Inusah, the in-coming RCD, the out-going RCD thanked the people of the region, especially staff of the RCC for their service and cooperation during his five years’ service to the region.
He encouraged the staff to extend the same level of cooperation to the in-coming RCD to enable him succeed.
Alhaji Inusah on his part, reminded staff of the RCC that, as Local Government workers, there should be cordiality and team work among them in order to propel the Local Government agenda, and further appealed for their full support and cooperation to successfully discharge his duty.
He called for punctuality and commitment to work among staff, saying that such positive attitudes served as catalyst for development in the region.
As part of his strategies for effective workout, the new RCD said with the support of the Regional Minister, Hon. Stephen Yakubu, he would meet all Municipal and District Chief Executives and their respective Coordinating Directors in the region to chart a new path to rebrand the region.
Hon. Yakubu thanked Alhaji Azonko for his diligent service to the region over the years, and urged him to continue to exhibit high professional standards in the discharge of his duties to the benefit of the Oti RCC.
The Minister said the Upper East Region was faced with several challenges, and encouraged the in-coming RCD to brace up for the challenges, noting that in spite of the challenges, the region equally had several opportunities.
