PRESIDENT’S NOMINEE RECEIVE MASSIVE ENDORSEMENT IN BAWKU WEST DISTRICT

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s nominee for Chief Executive position for the Bawku West District Assembly, Hon. Daniel Anania Atampuba received overwhelming endorsement by Assembly Members.

The nominee polled 46 votes out 48,representing 96 percent at first round of voting.

In his victory speech, Hon. Atampuba promised an open door policy administration intended to bring the Assembly closer to the doorsteps of residents.

“I shall reach out to all but never put down a single person for holding views contrary to mine,” he assured.

He said despite the short period of time available before the December 7, general elections, he would discharge his duties in line with the vision of the President to ensure the needed development for the District.

In his remarks prior to the confirmation, the Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Stephen Yakubu, urged the Assembly Members called for massive support for the nominee to enable him continue the works of government in the District.
