Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Stephen Yakubu has called on labour Unions intended to join the ongoing strike action by teacher-unions to reconsider their decision to enable government work to find amicable solution to their concerns.

He said the ongoing strike action already had negative impact on the nation, particularly pupils and students.

“l humbly and passionately join the many voices of appeal to the striking Teachers and other Unions who are threatening to join the  strike to reconsider their stances, prioritize the national interest and get back to the classrooms while the government and the leadership dialogue to find amicable solution to the impasse,” he said.
