STEPHEN YAKUBU ATTENDS ‘ADUA’ OF ALHASSAN SINKANSI.

Hon. Stephen Yakubu, the Upper East Regional Minister has joined some sympathisers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Region for the ‘Adua’ (Islamic funeral) of the late  Alhaji Alhassan Abdul-Raham Amaliba.

Alhaji Amaliba, who was affectionately called Alhassan Sinkansi, was the former Bolgatanga Central Constituency Chairman of the NPP.

Prayers were said for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late Chairman who died on …………. (PLEASE FIND OUT WHEN HE DIED AND WRITE THE DATE)

Mr Elvis Figo Awonekai, the Regional Secretary of the NPP, in a tribute by the Party, said the late Alhassan Sinkansi was a great pillar in the NPP in the Bolgatanga Central Constituency, noting that his demise was a great lost to the Elephant Family.

He recalled that in 2002, the late Alhassan Sinkansi led a group of young men and women of the Party to form a powerful movement called ‘One-Touch-No-Second Round’ for the 2004 Presidential and Parliamentary elections that saw the NPP retain power for the second term of Former President John Agyekum Kufour.

In attendance at the funeral were Alhaji Suley Yiremiah, Member of the Council of State, the immediate past Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Tangoba Abayage, Former Upper East Regional Minister, Hon. Rockson Ayine Bukari, some Municipal and District Chief Executives,  Regional and Constituency Executives of the Party.
