REGIONAL MINISTER SOLICITS SUPPORT TO DEVELOP UPPER EAST

The Upper East Regional Minister Hon. Stephen Yakubu is soliciting for a strong collaboration between government representatives and the traditional authorities to work assiduously to achieve a sustainable development for the resident in the Upper East Region.

“I am going to work very very hard with the traditional rulers, I am going to be knocking on your door morning, afternoon and evening so that with your support Upper East Region will become the beacon of other people” he stressed.

Hon. Yakubu said this when he paid a courtesy call on some paramount chiefs in the region as part of his regional tour to ask for their blessings and support.

He noted with much concerns the teaming youth looking for employment but without success inadequate educational infrastructure, health and insecurity problems.  The undesirable nature of the roads across the region must all be tackled head on in order to improve upon the living standard of the people.

The Regional Minister said politics must be put aside for now and all hands on deck no matter your political persuasion adding that his doors are opened all the time for consultation, advise and the necessary support to make the Upper East Region on enviable one.

Hon. Yakubu started the courtesy call on Tuesday 23rd March, 2021 and he visited, Nakong, Kayoro, Katiu, Nangodi. The rest were Naga, Kologo and Navrongo.
