PRESIDING MEMBERS IN UPPER EAST REGION PAY COURTESY CALL ON REGIONAL MINISTER

 

A group of Presiding Members form some Municipal and Districts Assemblies in the Upper East Region today paid courtesy call on the Regional Minister.

Welcoming them in his office, the Regional Minister, Hon Stephen Yakubu mad a passionate appeal to them to put aside all political interest for now, support and work closely with the ruling government to bring development to their respective jurisdiction.

He added that if they work passionately with the entire house and other relevant authorities, it would eventually culminate into total development of the region.

He also urged them to specially collaborate with their traditional authorities through humility and respect in order to curtail the unwarranted up –springing of metal containers on the shoulder of some highways, especially Bolgatanga and Bawku which is defacing the beauty of our cities and towns.

Led by the leader, Hon. Eric Akurugu, the PM for Kassena-Nankana West District Assembly pledged their commitment to work with their respective Municipal and District Chiefs Executives (MDCEs) especially the in-coming one to bring the necessary development to the people in the region.
